  • Lockridge Foundation allocated $8,500.00 in scholarship assistance
In the first year of its existence, the Lockridge Foundation allocated $8,500.00 in scholarship assistance to deserving students to attend college.

What distinguishes the scholarship support from the Lockridge Foundation to those of others providing similar assistance is that we will follow the progress of recipients throughout their academic matriculation. Foundation representatives will not only educate them about the Man who was William O. Lockridge, but also serve as mentors to these students as well.

In addition, initial steps are being taken to identify a promising 9th grader, mentor him or her throughout high school and provide scholarship support for attendance at William’s alma mater, Tennessee State University (TSU) in Nashville, Tennessee. William graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education from TSU in 1971.
